A church Christmas program spins hilariously out of control in this Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator.
It’s Christmas time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, but the Futrelle Sisters – Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye – are not exactly in a festive mood.
In fact, the entire cast is dropping like flies due to food poisoning from the Band Boosters’ Pancake Supper.
And when Frankie lets slip a family secret that has been carefully guarded for decades, all hope for a successful Christmas program seems lost, even with an Elvis impersonator at the manger.
But in true Futrelle fashion, the feuding sisters find a way to pull together in order to present a Christmas program the citizens of Fayro will never forget. Their hilarious holiday journey through a misadventure-filled Christmas Eve is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!

The festival will begin at 3:30pm with a Christmas-themed market in the Rocky Hill Center parking lot (7513 S Northshore Dr, Knoxville, TN 37919). Local food trucks will be present offering warm drinks, snacks, and treats! Live music and interactive storytelling from the festival stage!

The parade steps off at 6:00 from the Rocky Hill Ball Park. The line will proceed south on Morrell Road toward Northshore Drive then east down Northshore Drive past the Rocky Hill Center to the Rocky Hill Baptist Church Parking lot.

For thousands of years, people all around the world have been celebrating the passing of the longest night and the Return of the Sun. Come join us in a community celebration of Light, Hope, and Peace. All dances will be taught and no experience or partner are necessary.

Join the Hardin Valley Academy Advanced Theatre class for The Arsonists, Alistair Beaton's translation of Max Frisch's play, Biedermann und die Brandstifter. This dark comedy tackles a variety of social issues related to class--taking a close look at what happens when we ignore the reality right in front of us.

New Food Pantry now available to neighborhood and surrounding areas twice a month. Every 2nd Thursday of each month we will be giving away non-perishable goods and personal care items. On the 4th Thursday of each month we will be serving a hot meal.

Circle Modern Dance continues its annual holiday tradition of Modern Dance Primitive Light, a Winter Solstice performance of dance and live music. The 2025 performances will take place from December 11-13 at the show’s traditional venue - the historic Laurel Theater in the Fort Sanders neighborhood.

Modern Dance Primitive Light features performance art by local choreographers, dancers, and musicians. Each performance showcases live music, directed and scored by Duck. This year’s show will feature set work from goco, a guest artist from New York, and a special collaboration with Sunshine Services during Thursday’s (Dec. 11) show. Featured choreography includes pieces from both past and present core dancers as well as new artists joining our circle.

Attendees can join the “Pay What You Wish” Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, December 10th at 8:00 PM or performances on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 PM, Friday, December 12th at 7:00 PM, and Saturday, December 13th at 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM at the historic Laurel Theater (1538 Laurel Avenue). Tickets are $20 in advance on TicketTailor and $25 at the door with a $5 discount for students, seniors, and military service members. Modern Dance Primitive Light is a show for all ages and participates in the Penny4Arts program, allowing children to attend for one penny when accompanied by an adult. This project is funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Arts Commission.
