Barefoot in the Park is one of the most beloved comedies of Neil Simon. Newlyweds Corie and Paul Bratter are over the moon to begin their life together in their new apartment in Manhattan. It may be small and a six-flight climb, the heating may be busted and snow may be falling through the skylight, but nothing can quash their newlywed bliss. Paul is a straight-laced lawyer and Corie a romantic free-spirit; nevertheless, opposites attract and the two are wild about each other. Corie decides to set her conservative widowed mother up with their eccentric, bohemian neighbor. A wild night ensues, one that highlights just how different Corie and Paul are. The young couple must learn how to accept and embrace their differences as they learn that marriage is no easy walk in the park.

Join us at Marble Springs on Sunday, October 6th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for a very special Broom Making workshop! Students will make a primitive cobweb broom in the traditional style. This lightweight narrow broom is excellent for reaching all the places cobwebs can be found- Great for sweeping the ceiling too. These brooms are functional but make great decorative items and great gifts! In this workshop, we will learn the basic weaving techniques used to make a broom with natural broomcorn (sorghum). No experience is required for this project. Everyone will go home with at least one completed cobweb broom (most make two).
Ticketing is limited, so be sure to order through Zeffy to save your spot. Ticket pricing is $55 for Members and $65 for non-members.

The Paramount Chamber Players turns 20 years old this concert season, and we’re celebrating this special anniversary with our Knoxville debut performance! We’re thrilled to invite you to ALPINE AUTUMN, featuring chamber music by Mozart and Brahms, including Mozart's E Major Piano Trio and Brahms' magnificent Horn Trio.

Hear the performance live Sunday, October 6th at 2:00 PM at Church Street United Methodist Church.

Performed by a star-studded lineup of musicians, ALPINE AUTUMN will feature violinist Sean Claire (KSO), horn player Jeffery Whaley (KSO), cellist Cherylonda Fitzgerald (Symphony of the Mountains) and local concert pianists Ryan Fogg and Katherine Benson.
