Marble City Opera will present a Pint Sized Opera performance on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Boyd’s Jig & Reel in Knoxville’s Old City. Tickets are on sale at MarbleCityOpera.com/tickets
The $10 ticket price includes the performance and a buffet of heavy hors d'oeuvres. There will be a cash bar. This special Pint Sized Opera event serves as a celebration of the just-concluded 2024-2025 opera season as well as a look forward to next season.
Marble City Opera has a long-running tradition of bringing opera to the community via its Pint Sized Opera performances. Guests and artists mingle and enjoy a beverage together. About every 20 minutes, the singers perform a set of popular arias and showtunes.
Boyd’s Jig & Reel is located at 101 S. Central Street, at the corner of W. Jackson Avenue. They are typically closed Mondays but will be open for this special ticketed event from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

New Food Pantry now available to neighborhood and surrounding areas twice a month. Every 2nd Thursday of each month we will be giving away non-perishable goods and personal care items. On the 4th Thursday of each month we will be serving a hot meal.

Rose Center & Council for the Arts is announcing their upcoming Midsummer Social, an elegant evening of art, music, and celebration taking place on Friday, July 11 at 6:30 PM. This fast-paced fundraiser will benefit Rose Center’s youth arts education programs. Local and regional artists are invited to be a part of the magic by donating a piece of original art. Participating artists will receive a discounted ticket to the event and Rose Center can only sell as many tickets as there are contributing artworks. The deadline to submit art and receive the discounted ticket is June 27.Regular tickets are $50 per person and for artists contributing they are $25. Guests at the Midsummer Social will enjoy live jazz music, live art demonstrations, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and champagne, a cash bar, and a variety of silent and live auction items. This unique fundraiser blends the elegance of a social evening with the heart of community support. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress, mingle with fellow art lovers, and enjoy an unforgettable night while supporting the next generation of artists in the Lakeway area. Businesses and individuals who share a passion for the youth arts education can join Tarr Chevrolet, Morristown Utilities, Colortech, Visions by Vicki, and West End Recreation in sponsoring Midsummer Social.
