TennGreen Land Conservancy’s sixth annual Hike-a-Thon is taking place during the entire month of April 2026. This month-long competition is free to register and supports the protection of our lands and waters—where people and nature can thrive.

While the Hike-a-Thon benefits Tennessee nature, participants can adventure and compete from anywhere in the world. The event includes numerous individual and team competitions for hikers, paddlers, trail runners, climbers, off-road bikers, nature photographers, and more. The Hike-a-Thon welcomes everyone, whether you're an experienced outdoor adventurer or simply looking for a fun way to spend more time outside.

So many incredible prizes are up for grabs this year! Thanks to generous conservation partners, Hike-a-Thoners can win big—think an Eddyline Kayak, a year of Bongo Java coffee, plus hiking gear and gift cards galore. You’ll also have chances to win unforgettable outdoor experiences, from guided fly fishing with Hellbender Outfitters to a tri-toon boat rental at Wildwood Resort & Marina, or adventure passes to Cumberland Caverns, Foggy Bottom Canoe & Kayak, or the Tennessee Aquarium.

Proceeds from the Hike-a-Thon benefit TennGreen Land Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) environmental nonprofit and the oldest accredited statewide land conservancy in Tennessee.

New Food Pantry now available to neighborhood and surrounding areas twice a month. Every 2nd Thursday of each month we will be giving away non-perishable goods and personal care items. On the 4th Thursday of each month we will be serving a hot meal.

Moving Day is a celebration of the power of movement—proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms. Whether you walk with a team or on your own, you’ll be part of thousands of supporters coming together in the fight against Parkinson’s.

Join fellow artists on Saturday mornings for a creative refresh in a welcoming, lighthearted environment. You’ll have the option of being inside, in a spacious, light-filled space, or outside under a covered pavilion. You can bring a project you’d like to work on, sketch from provided still lifes, or work plein aire.

These mini-retreats are located in West Knox, in a 20+ acre bucolic setting with fields and woods, on the Tennessee River. All levels are welcome and no experience is needed.

$20 per session or $50 for 3 sessions includes art supplies and yummy snacks.

Tennessee Brew Works, the Tennessee-based craft brewery with locations in Nashville, BNA Airport, and soon Lenoir City, will usher in spring with the inaugural Snail Darter Fest on April 25 at its new Lenoir City location, 200 East Depot Street. A portion of beer sales from this event will benefit the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of the Ninth Judicial District serving Loudon, Meigs, Morgan and Roane Counties.
Free and open to the public, this all-day celebration will feature more than 800 pounds of fresh Gulf shrimp served with all the traditional fixings of a classic Low Country Boil. Guests can also enjoy a dynamic lineup of live music curated by the legendary Mike “Grimey” Grimes, highlighted by headliner Greasy Chicken Review.
In addition to Tennessee Brew Works’ craft beer portfolio, attendees may choose from a selection of wines, Tennessee ciders, and a limited offering of cocktails—perfect for those seeking gluten-free or beer alternatives.
Tennessee Brew Works will also be releasing several limited offering beers, including the exclusive release of the Snail Darter Amber Ale, at the festival.
SNAIL DARTER ALE: This English-style amber ale (5.2% ABV, 30 IBUs) showcases a beautifully layered malt profile, opening with delicate aromas of apricot and plum. On the palate, those subtle fruit notes unfold into a harmonious depth of caramel and toffee, delivering a smooth, refined finish that is both balanced and inviting.
Local businesses, including members of the Historic Downtown Lenoir City Merchants Association, will join the festivities, showcasing their vocations and wares in celebration of the city’s vibrant small-business community.
Created with the whole family in mind, Snail Darter Fest will include a dedicated “Kids Park” area complete with a bouncy house. Walk-ups are welcome throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis, and friendly, leashed dogs are invited to join the festivities.

Snail Darter Fest will take place rain or shine on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free, with ample seating available. Parking is plentiful; however, guests are encouraged to use ride-share services when possible.
