Double bassist, Edgar Mayer, violinist, Tessa Lark, and cellist, Joshua Roman, are no strangers to performing and composing various styles of music. In fact, one might say that characteristic is core to their musical identities and is what brought them together as a trio. At Big Ears 2025, they will perform music of Johann Sebastian Bach, an early string trio by Meyer (composed when he was around twenty-five years old), a brand new trio, which was jointly commissioned by the Big Ears Organization.
