KSO Oboists, Claire Chenette and Ayca Yayman, are the featured soloists with the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra on their upcoming chamber classics concert. Together, they will perform Vivaldi's Concerto in D minor for Two Oboes, RV 535, and another double oboe concerto by Viet Cuong titled "Extra(ordinarily) Fancy." This entertaining piece involves a bit of theatrics as the two oboists "battle it out", all while employing unusual-sounding oboe techniques such as multiphonics.
The Chamber Orchestra strings will also perform Adolphus Hailstork's "Baroque Suite" and Beethoven's Symphony No.8. The performance is on Sunday May 7th at 2:30pm in the beautiful Bijou Theatre in downtown Knoxville.
