Join artists from across the region for a lively, real-time painting event in the beautiful Sequoyah Hills Park! The Plein Air Smokies Quick Draw invites artists of all levels – beginners to professionals – to capture the spirit of the city in just a few hours. Watch as blank canvases transform into finished works inspired by the sights, light, and energy of the morning.

The competition ends with a pop-up art sale and awards presentation. Artwork will be available for purchase straight from the easel, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont’s environmental education programs.

$35 registration required for artists by Sept. 25. Free for spectators.

Prizes: The Open Division first place prize includes $500 and an invitation to return as a featured artist at 2026 Plein Air Smokies. The second place winner will receive $300, and the third place will receive $200. All artists will have the opportunity to sell their paintings.
