The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra opens it's 2026-27 season of Masterworks series concerts with a program exploring the diverse threads that contribute to the tapestry the American sound. On the program is Nicky Sohn's Is This the Happiest Place on Earth, William Grant Still's Symphony No 1 (Afro American), Gershwin's An American in Paris, and Dvorak's Cello Concerto, with guest soloist Sterling Elliott.
The performances will be given on Thursday and Friday, September 17th and 18th, at 7:30
in the Tennessee Theatre.
