WUOT is a publicly supported broadcast service of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. A charter member of NPR, WUOT serves the entire East Tennessee region through a mix of locally and nationally produced classical and jazz music, news, information, and entertainment programs across two channels: 91.9 FM and WUOT-2 (HD).
WUOT podcasts include Raised in Knoxville, a CPB-funded series that explores the history of country music in Knoxville; Improvisations to Go, an exploration of the distinct jazz scenes of America’s cities; and Health Connections, a bi-weekly exploration of healthcare, coverage, and policy.
Locally hosted classical music programs include the Morning Concert and Afternoon Concert, every weekday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, as well as UT Concert Hall on Thursday and Sunday evenings, and the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra program featuring the orchestra's Masterworks and Chambers series concerts on select evenings at 8:00 PM throughout the year.
Locally hosted jazz programs include Improvisations, Monday - Friday, from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM, Jazz Jam with Kelle Jolly on Fridays at 8:00 PM and Last Set at Birdland on Fridays at 9:00 PM with Randy Fishman.
For news, tune in to NPR’s Morning Edition, locally hosted from 5:00 AM - 9:00 AM; NPR’s Fresh Air from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM; and NPR’s All Things Considered, locally hosted from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM.
