The EducationUSA Academy was created to provided high school students from outside the US with opportunities to learn about American higher education in an immersive residential program. The Academy includes college preparation classes, academic classes, admissions workshops, visits to a variety of college campuses, and cultural activities.
UTK is one of fourteen host institutions for the EducationUSA Academy. Every institution’s program has a different focus, and UTK’s has the distinction of offering a program in business and entrepreneurship, taught by Tom Graves of the Haslam College of Business and Operations Director of the Anderson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Students in UTK’s inaugural EducationUSA Academy are from Argentina, Egypt, Kuwait, Palestine, Portugal, and Uzbekistan.
