Shaub and Benson dive deep into the artistry, and humanity, of Clara and Robert Schumann

Matthew Motley speaks with Katherine Benson and William Shaub about their new album Faces & Masques

Faces & Masques paints an intimate portrait of Clara and Robert Schumann, exploring the complicated and deeply human experiences of the couple through Robert’s Violin Sonatas and Clara’s Romance No 3.

The pair is doing an East TN tour ahead of the release, with performances in Kingsport, Knoxville, and Johnson City on April 23rd, 24th, and 26th, respectively. Physical copies of the album will be available at these concerts and on the Paramount Chamber Players website and the album releases on all major streaming services on April 28th.
