The Amadeus Chamber Ensemble presents "Verdi in the Cathedral" on Sunday, October 23rd at 5pm. This performance is part of the Cathedral Concert Series, hosted by the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, located on Northshore Drive in Knoxville. The program will include selections from several of Verdi's operas, which are set in sacred spaces, including Don Carlo, La Forza del Destino, and I Lombardi, as well as the Offertorio from his Requiem. Soloists will include soprano, Rochelle Bard, mezzo-soprano, Diana Salesky, tenor, Aaron Short, baritone, Christian Bowers, bass, David Crawford, and violinist, Miroslav Hristov. Brian Salesky will conduct a full orchestra and male chorus in this grand performance, which is free of admission.
