Dulcimer Player Stephen Seifert Wants to Put a Smile On Your Face

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will be presenting a program of music that fits right into life here in East Tennessee on Sunday, April 3rd at 2:30pm. Mountain Dulcimer player Stephen Seifert will be soloist alongside the KSO in the 'Blackberry Winter' Concerto by Conni Ellisor, bringing the sounds of Appalachia to the Bijou Theatre. This Chamber Classics concert will also feature the Symphony No. 3, "The Camp Meeting" by Charles Ives, a work that includes many familiar Amercan hymns and folk songs. Concluding the program will be the "Morning" Symphony No. 6 by Franz Joseph Haydn. This conversation with Stephen Seifert, Aram Demirjian, and Clara Prinston took place via Zoom.
