Flatwater Tales Storytelling Festival
Flatwater Tales Storytelling Festival brings four acclaimed storytellers - Sheila Arnold, Elizabeth Ellis, Josh Goforth and Bil Lepp - to Oak Ridge for seven programs June 5-6. The festival offers two 35-minute "Tastes of the Tales" with one teller, one 1776 historic character presentation, and programs with three tellers at 7 p.m. June 5, and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. June 6. The June 6 evening program will combine stories and music with the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association, celebrating America's 250 birthday at a different location, the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center, 1450 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Bil Lepp will host a Homegrown Tellers Contest at 1:30 p.m. June 6, giving the audience a chance to vote on their favorite tellers.
