Spirit Guide: Tracy Pintchman on the Goddess Beyond Boundaries

Tracy Pintchman is giving the University of Tennessee’s 2022 Anjali Lecture in Hindu Studies. She is a professor of religious studies and director of the Global and International Studies Program at Loyola University of Chicago. WUOT’s Chrissy Keuper spoke with Pintchman about her research on gender studies, Hindu goddess traditions, and what she calls a new religious movement at a North American Hindu goddess temple in Pontiac, Michigan.

Chrissy is WUOT's News Director and host of monthly public affairs talk show Dialogue. Her first job with the station was as weekend student announcer while earning her bachelor's in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. She has been the station's local host for NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered news programs; occasionally fills in as host for WUOT's Morning and Afternoon Concerts; and has won multiple awards for her interviews, feature stories, and Dialogue.
