It is time to celebrate National Chemistry Week (NCW) 2023! The American Chemical Society (ACS) encourages members and science enthusiasts to build awareness of chemistry at the local level. ACS local sections, schools, businesses, and individuals are invited to organize or participate in events in their communities with a common goal: to promote the value of chemistry in our everyday life. This year, the theme is “The Healing Power of Chemistry.” Several online resources are available at www.acs.org/ncw.

Locally, celebrate the week with Dr. Al Hazari’s 33rd annual presentation of “The Magic of Chemistry Show.” It will be held Thursday, October 19 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Room 555 Buehler Hall at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK).
