Music lovers from around the world are making the annual pilgrimage to the tiny town of Manchester, Tenn. for the four-day Bonnaroo Festival, which starts Thursday. This year's lineup of musical acts includes Billy Joel, Mumford & Sons, DeadMau5, Florence and the Machine and dozens more.
As an entertainment writer for the Knoxville News Sentinel, Wayne Bledsoe has been reporting on Bonnaroo since its debut in 2002. He tells WUOT's Matt Shafer Powell the festival has survived over the years because its organizers have managed to stay focused on the individual concert-goer's experience.
