On June 22, 2013, WUOT was recognized with four first-place awards at the Public Radio News Directors Inc. (PRNDI) conference in Cleveland, Ohio. In a ceremony hosted by NPR's Weekend Edition host Scott Simon, Without a Net: Voices of the Working Poor received first-place recognition in the Series and Documentary categories and Mother And Child took First Place awards for Best Writing and Best News Feature.
