It's Pet Pledge Day!

It’s pet pledge time in Tennessee!

We are ready to officially kick off WUOT’s new fundraising year with our semi-annual contest of champions: Pet Pledge Day!

The cats have come out on top for the past two fund drives. Will they continue their streak? Will the (under)dogs reclaim the title? We will find out on today.

If you’re new to the WUOT community, you may be asking, “What is pet pledge day?”

It’s an individual day of giving where we honor our furry, feathered, and scaled friends. When you make a donation, check the “Optional Member Comments/ Survey” box and add your pet tribute in the Additional Comments. We will be reading your tributes over the air from 6am until 8pm.

We also keep a tally to see which pets get the most tributes: Cats, dogs, rabbits, horses… we even had 75 tarantulas in one drive!

When you support WUOT Public Radio during Pet Pledge Day, you help us kick off our 2021-2022 campaign on the right foot. Public radio runs on public support, and it takes a community of supporters to ensure that this quality service is available for our region.
