The Noisettes: Genre-Bending Pop

The three members of the British band The Noisettes met as students at the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology. Shortly after forming in 2003, the group became a sensation in London, gaining a reputation for its boisterous live act and its eclectic mix of electro-rock, funk, jazz and soul. Since the release of its poppy debut album, What's the Time Mr. Wolf?, the band has continued to veer into new musical territories. The debut was well-received, and landed The Noisettes touring spots with TV on the Radio, Bloc Party and Muse.

The band has just returned with its sophomore effort, Wild Young Hearts. Each member of the trio is influenced by different musical styles, and in The Noisettes' new music, it's easy to hear the impact of genres ranging from classic soul to punk.
