Ten Years Later: The Legacy Of The Legacy Parks Foundation

The Legacy Parks Foundation is celebrating its 10^th Anniversary.

The nonprofit has been instrumental in the effort to set aside and maintain green spaces, greenways, and waterways, and is especially well-known for creating what known as Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness. Local marketing firm PYXL has released 10 special videos to help celebrate the anniversary.

WUOT’s Chrissy Keuper spoke with LPF Executive Director Carol Evans about the Foundation’s achievements over the last 10 years and about what’s next…

Chrissy served as WUOT's News Director and host of monthly public affairs talk show Dialogue from late 2021 to early 2023. Her first job with the station was as weekend student announcer while earning her bachelor's in Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. She had previously been the station's local host for NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered news programs; occasionally filled in as host for WUOT's Morning and Afternoon Concerts; and won multiple awards for her interviews, feature stories, and Dialogue.
