Smokies Most Wanted: Opt Outside with iNaturalist
“Opt Outside” this year by doing community science! In this program, you’ll learn how to use a nature app called iNaturalist to document the animals and plants you encounter wherever you decide to #optoutside this year. We will also share how you can participate and make the most of iNaturalist, by seeking out specific species in a virtual scavenger hunt in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and how your contributions will help the park better protect its natural resources. It’s fun, easy, and great for all ages! (Parent/guardian permission required for kids under 13.)
