WUOT's Arts & Events Calendar is intended to specifically highlight the performing arts, as well as art exhibits, in our listening area, and usually limited to non-profit organizations. Information to be included should be brief: who, what, where and when. Please include a phone number for further information.
WUOT also accepts information from non-profit organizations for public service announcements (PSAs) which are read on-air only. As a rule, WUOT does not announce club meetings, events at primary and secondary schools, and religious services.
Note that WUOT management reserves right of approval of all submissions.
We prefer to receive information via email: wuot@utk.edu. We also accept PSAs by fax (974-3941) or snail mail: 209 Comm. Bldg., U.T., Knoxville, TN 37996. Phone information is not accepted.
Please have information to the station 2-3 weeks before the date of the event.
WUOT policies regarding the on-air copy for public service announcements (PSAs) shall parallel the policies that have been established for WUOT underwriting copy, which follow standards used for National Public Radio (NPR) underwriting copy and concur with current WUOT and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) policies. To help maintain the overall noncommercial appearance of public radio programming, copy should identify, but not promote the subject matter or the organization submitting the PSA.
