Spring is traditionally the season of renewal, resurgence and new beginnings……And it’s the perfect time to announce new changes and opportunities at WUOT!

WUOT has recently completed a strategic planning process and we’re excited about moving WUOT forward in the digital world of converging media. Fifty-eight years ago when WUOT became one of the Southeast’s first FM radio stations, no one could even imagine what the media landscape would look and sound like in the 21st century.

Today’s mass media, niche media and even “personal” media have forever changed the way in which individuals access and consume news and entertainment. This new and evolving media environment presents a variety of challenges and opportunities for all radio stations, including WUOT.

New and ever-evolving technologies provide a variety of avenues for increased public service and WUOT is committed to fully utilizing all of our resources, including the web and digital radio channels to better serve our community.

WUOT can become a stronger and distinctive voice in the cultural, civic and intellectual life of this community and we have recently restructured our organization with this goal in mind. We are invigorating and rejuvenating our programming and services to assure that WUOT stays relevant, exciting and interesting now and in the future.

WUOT is committed to making more connections with the people who listen to and support us. As we work to make the intersection of WUOT and community more meaningful and productive, we will be seeking the assistance, guidance and involvement of listeners, members, volunteers and other organizations. Community input and collaborative partnerships are going to be hallmarks of WUOT’s renewal!
