A Listener’s Ode to Public Radio
A creative writing contest based on ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ to spark the wit of our listeners and give thanks for public radio

Public radio is
A part of our lives
The music -- the news --
We laugh and we cry.

So get out a pen
And write down your praise
For the radio shows
You relish each day.

Pick the programs you love --
The hosts you adore --
And the music that leaves you
Still calling for more.

Pay tribute to jazz
Or NPR’s stories,
Or a little of everything
You think deserves glory.

You could win a grand prize --
Have your work read on air --
So get started now,
And write it with care!
