Grupo do Rua, founded in 1996 by artistic director Bruno Beltrao, is a Brazilian hip-hop dance company with a distinctly contemporary sensibility. Beltrao's work combines his life long love for streetdance with his study of the innovative contemporary process. The company has toured throughout Brazil since 2000 and internationally since 2002. Grupo de Rua will make its US debut in the 09-10 season with both a repertory program and the work H2.
